Ethylbenzene was evaluated for biodegradation, as per procedures laid out in the ISO 14593 - CO2 Headspace Test. The test conditions were equivalent to the OECD 301 B: CO2 Evolution (Modified Sturm Test). Ethylbenzene showed 79% degradation in this study within the 10 day window and is therefore considered "readily biodegradable".
