GLP compliance:
yes
Auto-ignition temperature:
230 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 002.1 - ca. 1 019.8 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 234°C

Preliminary study result:

Estimated auto ignition temperature was 250°C.

Main study result:

The result of the main study are shown in Table 2. Ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was <10°C.

The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 234°C. This temperature was a multiple of 5°C and therefore given as the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance.

Conclusions:
An auto ignition temperature of 230°C at 1002.1 – 1019.8 hPa was determined for the substance in accordance with an appropriate test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered reliable.

Description of key information

Auto flammability  [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl]triethoxysilane: 230°C at 1002.1 - 1019.8 hPa (EU Method A.15).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
230 °C

Additional information

A measured auto flammability value of 230°C at 1002.1 - 1019.8 hPa was determined for the substance using an appropriate test method. The result is considered reliable.
