Description of key information

FAT 40840/A TE is not readily biodegradable (OECD Test Guideline 301 F) nor does it shows biodegradability with an inherent biodegradation test (OECD Test Guideline 302 C)
In both tests no inhibitory effect of FAT 40840/A TE on the activity of the activated sludge microorganisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

With FAT 40840/A TE two Biodegradability studies were performed: "Ready Biodegradability in a Manometric Respirometry Test" (OECD Test Guideline 301 F) and " Inherent Biodegradability in a Manometric Respirometry Test" (OECD Test Guideline 302 C).

FAT 40840/A TE is not readily biodegradable in the "Ready Biodegradability Test" nor does it shows biodegradability with an "Inherent Biodegradation Test".

In both tests no inhibitory effect of FAT 40840/A TE on the activity of the activated sludge microorganisms were observed.
