In instances where stable aerosol formation
is expected, a value of 10 mg/m3 will be used as an
operational control limit for inhalation exposure.
Toxicological studies of the substances to
be registered or similar materials used for read-across purposes have
been conducted to assess the hazard properties. There
were no effects in these studies even though they were carried out to
maximally attainable vapor concentrations, limit doses, or to other
limits imposed by safety considerations. As no effects
were demonstrated, the data are not appropriate for DNEL derivation. As
the substances are demonstrably not hazardous for effects which are
quantifiable, human health exposure assessments have not been conducted.
Aspiration is a potential hazard, but a DNEL
calculation is not appropriate for an aspiration hazard.
Workers are expected to have infrequent and
Consumers in the general population are
expected to have infrequent and short-term exposures.
