Pour point: -65 °C at 101 kPa (75 % aqueous solution of Choline bicarbonate, ASTM D97-08)

The pour point of the 75 % aqueous solution of Choline bicarbonate was determined in a well-documented study according the relevant standard method ASTM D97-08. The pour point of the test item was determined reproducibly in two trials to be -65 °C, which in in the scientifically expected range. Hence, the results are reliable and can be used for further risk assessment. The determination of the pour point of a 75 % solution is reasonable because this is the marketed form, the substance is not isolated and is additionally hygroscopic.

The outcome of the study is reliable without restrictions, within the expected range and determined by a valid method. Hence, no datagaps were identified, the study meets fully the tonnage-driven data requirements under REACH and not further testing needs to be performed.
