Conclusions:
The auto flammability of the test item is 245ºC according to EU method A.15 criteria.

Executive summary:

The determination of the auto flammability of the test item was performed according to EU Method A.15 (GLP study). About 200 mL of sample are introduce into an opened Erlenmeyer’s flask. Series of ignition trials were performed by changing the temperature of the chamber walls and amount of a sample, and searching for the lowest temperature in which an ignition appears. The auto flammability of the test item was determined to be 245ºC with atmospheric pressure ranging from 1012 to 1014 hPa.

Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:

Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Reliability:

Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
data from handbook or collection of data
Principles of method if other than guideline:
No data on test method
GLP compliance:

Relative self-ignition temperature:
265 °C
Conclusions:
The self-ignition temperature is ca. 265 ºC.
Executive summary:

According to peer review handbook, the self-ignition temperature is ca. 265 ºC.

Additional information

Key study: The determination of the auto flammability of the test item was performed according to EU Method A.15 (GLP study). About 200 mLof sample are introduce into an opened Erlenmeyer’s flask. Series of ignition trials were performed by changing the temperature of the chamber walls and amount of a sample, and searching for the lowest temperature in which an ignition appears. The auto flammability of the test item was determined to be 245ºC with atmospheric pressure ranging from 1012 to 1014 hPa.

Supporting study: Individual auto-flammability of one main component of the test substance is available from a peer review handbook. The self-ignition temperature of camphene is ca. 265 ºC.
