Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for type of information:
EDTA-NiNa2 is produced and distributed only in an aqueous solution and not isolated. Based on general scientific principles it can be stated that the vapour pressure of the complex containing a heavy metal atom is magnitudes lower than the vapour pressure of water which is ca. 2.34 kPa at 20 °C. As the substance will always remain in solution and the water will never be evaporated during use of EDTA-NiNa2, the determination of the vapour pressure of the substance itself is scientifically not necessary.

Description of key information

EDTA-NiNa2 is produced and distributed only in an aqueous solution and not isolated. Based on general scientific principles it can be stated that the vapour pressure of the complex containing a heavy metal atom is magnitudes lower than the vapour pressure of water which is ca. 2.34 kPa at 20 °C. As the substance will always remain in solution and the water will never be evaporated during use of EDTA-NiNa2, the determination of the vapour pressure of the substance itself is scientifically not necessary. For the solution the vapour pressure of water (2.34 kPa at 20 °C) can be applied.
