Recommended extinguishing agent: Suitable extinguishing agents are water mist, foam, carbon
dioxide and dry powder.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and sulfur
oxides together with some hydrogen bromide gas and soot

Product determined by test: N

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Powder: Damp down and sweep up. Dispose of waste by
incineration or at a landfill site. Solution: Soak up using
absorbent material. Collect and dispose of by incineration
or at a landfill site.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Cases of respiratory sesnsitisation have been observed with
reactive dyes and care should be taken to avoid inhalation
of dust. Should an individual become sensitised, a physician
should be consulted and all contact with reactive dyes must
cease immediately.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: After dyeing, residues are not recoverable.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an authorized landfill site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration is possible. Waste gas treatment to
remove sulphur and nitrogen oxides and hydrogen bromide gas
should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not biodegradable. It will be eliminated
from sludge by sedimentation and absorption.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: After fixation on the textile, the substance is not
recoverable.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable to substance after fixation to the textile.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Articles containing the substance may be disposed of as for
household waste. The substance itself is not intended to
enter the public domain.
