Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

The combustion neither propagated nor there was any smouldering observed up to the specified distance of 200 mm along the powder train within four minutes of total testing period after withdrawal of flame.

The test item was considered as 'Not Highly Flammable (Non-Flammable)' and no further testing (burning rate test) was needed to be carried out.

Description of key information

EU method, GLP-compliant study available. In a preliminary screening test, the substance did not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minute test period.

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance did not ignite or propagate combustion in the flammability test on solids. The substance did not exhibit pyrophoricity or the evolution of flammable gases when conducting other studies with the test substance. Therefore no classification is warranted for the substance in accordance with CLP Regulation (EC 1282/2008, as amended).
