Second meeting of the substitution and innovation network

Purpose

The purpose of this workshop is to gather the network of stakeholders involved in supporting the substitution of hazardous substances and promote innovative and sustainable solutions. The event will aim to discuss and elaborate on mechanisms to support and expand on-going collaboration, capacity building, and adoption of substitution.

Desired outcomes

Review of actions implemented in 2018-2019 in the context of ECHA’s substitution strategy
Clarity on the follow-up actions and collaborations to sustain progress on support to substitution
Identification of mechanisms needed to expand networking, collaboration and capacity building for an increased adoption of sustainable alternatives

Date and venue

The workshop will be organised at ECHA’s premises on 29 May 2019. It is provisionally scheduled to start at 9:00 and end at 17:30 (exact time will be confirmed once the programme has been finalised).

Please note that the number of places is limited. Priority will be given to stakeholders already active in implementing supporting actions for substitution of hazardous substances or planning to do so. Please indicate this in the registration form.
