Training on the EU chemicals legislation: Why is it the business of non-chemical companies?

Training on the EU chemicals legislation: Why is it the business of non-chemical companies?

13 to 14 November 2013 | Helsinki

Training for the Enterprise Europe Network was organised in November 2013 as part of ECHA's long term effort to identify the best ways to reach SMEs, make them aware of their obligations and support them in their efforts to comply.

The agenda covered REACH, CLP and the BPR and horizontal topics, such as guidance, helpdesk support, awareness raising, stakeholder relations and substitution. Speakers from Italy, France and Bulgaria presented some practical examples from the Network, which were very well received

Target audience

The training was organised for the members of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a network that involves nearly 600 organisations in 52 countries and is co-financed by the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme to provide both legal advice and business support to small companies.

Closer cooperation with the Network is one of the measures to support small and medium sized companies (SMEs) outlined in the five year review of REACH.
