REACH-IT update scheduled for 11 July

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will release the planned new version of REACH-IT on 11 July 2012. From that date onwards, ECHA will only accept dossiers created with IUCLID 5.4. REACH-IT will be unavailable in the weekend starting from Friday 6 July 2012 at 14.00 hrs (EET) in order to install the new version.

Helsinki, 28 June 2012 – REACH-IT will be upgraded to accept and process dossiers created with IUCLID 5.4, which was released in early June 2012.

REACH-IT will be inaccessible from Friday 6 July 2012 at 14.00 hrs (Eastern European Time) until 11 July 2012 at 9.00 hrs, in order for ECHA to install the new version of the software and to migrate the data from the present to the new version of REACH-IT.

From 11 July 2012 REACH-IT will only accept industry dossiers prepared with IUCLID 5.4. This applies to all dossier types submitted in the IUCLID format. Dossiers made without IUCLID (such as online inquiry) are not affected by this change.

Until the upgrade, only IUCLID 5.3 dossiers can be accepted by REACH-IT.

The manuals for creating, checking, and submitting IUCLID dossiers using REACH‑IT (i.e. Data Submission Manuals and REACH-IT Industry User Manuals) will be updated and published on ECHA's website simultaneously with the new REACH-IT release. Relevant manuals related to the dissemination of information and confidentiality requests will also be updated.

Since 2009 IUCLID plug-ins are available to help registrants to prepare their REACH dossiers (i.e. the Technical Completeness Check, Fee Calculation, Dissemination and CSR plug-ins). These plug-ins have been upgraded and will be available on the IUCLID website on the same day as the release of the new version of REACH-IT. ECHA encourages companies to always check their IUCLID dossiers using these plug-ins before submission via REACH-IT.
