Role
The ICT Infrastructure Unit ensures the adequacy and security of ECHA's own or outsourced ICT facilities and assists all Agency users of these facilities.
Tasks
The ICT Infrastructure Unit:
- Administers ECHA's networks and systems
- Administers distributed systems
- Manages ECHA's ICT Helpdesk
- Manages IT Security
- Manages ICT resources
- Manages technical documentation in the scope of its purpose
- Manages IT projects in the scope of its purpose
- Manages IT suppliers for the services procured and/or outsourced in the scope of its purpose.
Role
The Business Information Systems Unit ensures the high quality, timely release of the scientific software applications built in-house by ECHA and manages their maintenance and access control.
Tasks
For the information systems in its scope, the Business Information Systems Unit:
- Administers databases and application environments
- Performs Business Analysis
- Performs Software engineering
- Performs Software servicing
- Manages IT projects
- Manages technical documentation
- Manages IT suppliers
Role
The Management Information Systems Unit ensures the adequacy of and user support for the non-scientific software products and manages the IT governance in the Agency.
Tasks
For the information systems in its scope the Management Information Systems Unit:
- Performs Business Analysis
- Performs software engineering
- Performs software servicing
- Administers software platforms
- Manages IT Project
- Manages technical documentation
- Manages IT suppliers
- Supports the management of IT governance
