Registry of Intentions

Registry of Intentions updated

SVHC
Four potential SVHC have been included in the Registry of Intentions, meaning that member states intend to prepare a dossier on the substance to make a case for its designation as an SVHC.

Austria intends to evaluate two octyltin substances and Germany plans to resubmit two benzotriazole dossiers: 2-benzotriazol-2-yl-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol (UV-320) and 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4,6-ditertpentylphenol (UV-328).

Current SVHC intentions

CLH

Member states have indicated their intention to submit harmonised classification and labelling dossiers for two substances and have submitted dossiers for four others.

The new CLH dossiers intended to be submitted are for benfluralin and dazomet.

The new submissions are for cyproconazole, dichlofluanid, reaction products of paraformaldehyde and 2-hydroxypropylamine (ratio 1:1), benzo[rst]pentaphene.

New CLH consultation for a pesticide

ECHA has started a 45-day public consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals for the pesticide bendiocarb. This substance already has a harmonised classification for acute toxicity and environmental hazards. The dossier submitter (United Kingdom) proposes to update the current classification for acute toxicity and include M-factors to the classification for environmental hazards. Bendiocarb is used to control insects, mites and spiders.

The consultation is open until 15 September 2014.

CLP 2015 - Review the classification and labelling of your mixtures!

From 1 June 2015, the CLP Regulation will be the only legislation to apply to the classification and labelling of both substances and mixtures. Companies need to act now and review the classification and labelling of their mixtures before the deadline. Further information is available on our website and in a new awareness-raising leaflet.

Urgent reminder for PIC exporters

PIC exporters need to take action now, to make sure that their data (export notifications, special Reference Identification Number (RIN) requests and details on mixtures and articles) is migrated from EDEXIM to the new submission system, ePIC. The "ownership" of the data must be digitally assigned to each company using a unique identifier that is recognised by both systems. This Legal Entity Universal Unique Identifier (LE UUID) can be obtained from REACH-IT. Please log into EDEXIM, where you will find detailed instructions, and provide your LE UUID no later than 22 August 2014. If the deadline is missed, the data cannot be migrated.

EDEXIM

EDEXIM closure

Please note that EDEXIM will be closed at end of business on 22 August 2014 and no new submissions will be possible until ePIC goes live on 2 September. If you plan any exports for the end of September or the beginning of October please submit your notifications well in time for your member state to process them and send them to ECHA by 22 August. Once EDEXIM closes, companies will only have access to consult its contents - no amendments or additions will be able be made.

Biocides Stakeholders' Day – Register today!

24 September 2014, Helsinki

The Stakeholders' Day provides key biocides stakeholders with information about the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) including the tools and support available for companies. The objective of the event is to ensure that companies are aware of their roles and obligations to assist them in meeting the relevant BPR requirements.

The conference programme features four plenary sessions with information ranging from legislative developments to available support for companies. The day is open to all and the content will be of particular relevance to European and national trade associations, SMEs, large companies and representatives of civil society. One-to-one sessions between participants and ECHA staff on key topics will also be organised.
