Templates for a Chemical Safety Report

The CSR template is structured according to section 7, Annex I of REACH and provides a more detailed breakdown. Further guidance on how to report the information in a CSR can be found in Part F of the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment.

Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment - Exposure Scenario Format
The tables embedded in Section 9.1.1. of the CSR template are obsolete. The relevant updated guidance on the Exposure Scenario Format (ES Format) has been published in May 2010.
CSR Tool Plugin for IUCLID 5.2 User Manual
The sections 1 to 7 of part B generated by the CSR plug-in have been adapted to IUCLID 5.2. See the CSR plug-in Manual.
Chesar User manual Part 4 - Exposure scenario building
ECHA's Chemical safety assessment and reporting tool Chesar supports the generation of a CSR, taking into account the above changes. The format for section 8 to 10 is described in Annex 3 of Chesar User Manual 4.

CLH report format

Since the entry into force of the CLP Regulation, also manufacturers, importers and downstream users of substances are allowed to propose the harmonised classification and labelling for a substance. To this end the CLH report format below should be used:

Format for an Annex XV dossier for a proposal for Restriction
ECHA has prepared an update of this format. This new format combines and streamlines the two reporting formats that are included in the guidance documents:
(i) for the preparation of an Annex XV dossier for restrictions and
(ii) on Socio-Economic Analysis - Restrictions.
Format for Substance Evaluation has been removed from this site as it was out of date due to development of the Chemical Safety Report format. A standard operating procedure for substance evaluation and related formats will be provided by ECHA before the substance evaluation will start in 2012.
